OK! Without saying anything to waste your time,
gonna start from where we stopped last time…
Getting on the Mini Bus and heading to the Elementary school where Tamaki san’s father, his uncle, and our Tour guide (?! XD ) lady used to go when they were young!!
After 10 minutes of driving,
they get off the bus and Tamaki san is wondering if it’s safe to leave the door open and asks the lady “Is it OK not to close this door?”
And the lady answers “It’s OK! “
and Tamaki san laughs!
Well it seems to be safe here in this town ^^
And as they are walking toward the school’s building, the lady asks Tamaki san how old his grandfather is and he doesn’t know the exact digits XD But he knows he must be somewhere around 85-90.
And based on his answer, the lady says that probably, he also used to go to the same elementary school many years ago.
The reach the entrance…
And get inside!
As they get in, the lady asks Tamaki san a question while pointing to a square shaped area on the floor… “Do you know what this is?”
Tamaki san answers…”Boys used it at the toilet?!”
**Wonder if you remember his jokes in the Turkey documentary!!**
NO! It’s not a toilet XD It’s a place where the kids used to wash their feet before entering the building. Boys used to play outside barefoot and just to keep the school area as clean as possible, old schools seem to have had a place like this in the entrance!
But Tamaki san says “There MUST have been some bad boys who didn’t use this and ran inside without washing their feet!!”
and the lady says immediately “I think your uncle was one of them!”
(Tamaki san’s uncle who was younger than his father, was one year ahead of our guide lady in school!!) And Tamaki san who didn’t expect such a harsh reality, laughs!!…
hmmm I think he would have been one of those bad boys with no doubt XD
If his school had something like that ^^
So they move on and walk in the corridor…
Tamaki san is wondering why inside the school buildings are always cool even if they are not air conditioned!
Going to the principle’s office…
Tamaki san opens the door!
But something takes his attention…
the drawings on the naming board of the room which I think were drawn by the students XD
And they enter the office with all the photos of the principles lining on the wall!
On the desk, there are some photo albums of the graduation ceremonies by the end of each year…
They start searching… for one special photo!
Tamaki san’s father…
And the lady finds it!
“It’s your father…” she says.
But what she found is Tamaki san’s father’s name…
They still don’t know which one on the photo…
Tamaki san is troubled “I can’t tell which one he is!!” he says!!!
The lady is trying to make him calm by showing him another photo but he keeps repeating the same line! I Think he really did get a little bit nervous ^^
But the photo was taken 46 years ago!!
So you don’t have to panic ♡
Is what I really want to tell him!
Which one I wonder…
Anyway… the tour continues…
They enter one of the classrooms which seems to have been used for 2nd graders.
Tamaki san tries sitting on one of the tiny desks but he can’t even fit his feet under the desk!!
And he says “Was it really this tiny?” …
Yes it was!!
And you where too XD
But Tamaki san has an idea!!
He picks up the tiny desk…
… and puts it on his lap XD
“No choice but to do this!” he says.
Then he says that in his own case, there were always some pieces of moldy bread or something like that inside his desk!!
He used to hide the left over food there and then going home forgetting about it XD
“Nostalgic!” he says ^^
Then he tells us about his feelings after visiting the place…
“The school my father used to study in during his childhood…
even though I had seen it from outside,
I never had the chamce of getting inside the building
while thinking about the time my father spent here,
I think it was a very precious time for me.
And it’s all because the shape is kept exactly as it used to be back then… “
He chooses the place as the
“kokoro no hikyou”…
Let’s go back to the town and follow him around…
Next he encounters a shop…
first he can’t read the sign ^^
Takes too much time to explain why, so I will skip that!
It’s a restaurants but they also
sell souvenirs and make himono (Dried fish and sea food)
As he enters the shop…
first he greets the old lady by the cashier…
and explains to her about the show and the filming and asks for permission…
while he’s talking to the old lady,
an old man enters the shop from the back door and stands there listening to him…
and the lady looks at him and says “He says they want to enter for filming…”
The old man immediately says “No shooting is allowed here!”
Tamaki san kinda freaks out and apologizes…
but as he tends to leave…
the old man gets close with a cute smile…
and taps on Tamaki san’s shoulder…
then Tamaki san says “It doesn’t look like it’s not allowed…”
Then he calls the lady with her name and says “It’s Tamaki kun!”
and turns his face toward Tamaki san and says “Tamaki Hiroshi, right?”
And of course Tamaki san says “Yes it’s Tamaki!” with a very cute laughter…
The old man says that he’s always watching him on TV!
And Tamaki san thanks him ♡
Tamaki san is curious about the Big dried squid hanging on the entrance door!
So the old man picks it up and brings it to him so that he can hold it in his hand…
it’s heavy… Tamaki san’s guess is 7 kilos!
Then they talk more about what they do in the shop, and as they talk about himono, Tamaki san says that Himono is really delicious (He really likes Himono) and the owner suddenly says “Do you want to eat some?… I’ll make some for you!”
Tamaki san says “Really?!”
And the old man picks up a package and when Tamaki san asks which fish it is, he answers “Aji”
… and as he hands it over to the lady, he picks up another one while saying “This season’s urumenoiwashi!” He will make this one as an extra service XD
Thank you ♡
Then the old man asks him if he will go home (To his grandparents) this time and he says that he couldn’t visit during the obon holidays this year, so coming with the shooting team, he will also have a chance to go home once!
Then he asks Tamaki san “Did you gain some weight?”
And Tamaki san says “Yes… well not just some, I gained 20 kilos!”
Seems like they watched him on TV And got worried about his health after seeing him losing so much weigh… thinking maybe he doesn’t feel good or maybe feels sick XD
Tamaki san thanks them for worrying and says that there was nothing wrong with his health.
I’m sure you all know what period of time they are talking about… 2008～2009 I think ^^
But it was all for his roles as you all know!
Anyway… let’s get to the eating part!
“Urumeiwashi no maruboshi”
and “Aji no mirinboshi”
Seems like Tamaki san used to eat “aji no mirinboshi” very often…
As he is eating…
the staff members are watching him from outside the shop…
The old man notices them and suddenly says “Want some?”
He’s SO kind!
Then he passes one plate and
Tamaki san passes another one while saying “Let’s eat together!”
And they say thanks to them and leave the shop…
A very interesting encounter
Tamaki san hates the habit of eating while walking…
but here he breaks the rule…
it’s OK! Just one time XD
In a small town like this,
where even the flow of the time
seems to be slower compared to big cities…
Walking around without a destination in the streets…
is probably something Tamaki san
hasn’t been able to do for a long time…
Now let’s get on the Sightseeing Boat with Tamaki san
As we are talking about Tamaki Hiroshi,
there’s no way he can sit down on a chair in the cabin XD
so he goes upstairs and sits with the Captain!
Sitting on the boat,
He finds a group of people by the river!
And starts waving for them…
.. saying out loud: “Off we go!”
And they wave back…
… with sooo much energy it makes me laugh ♡
…he keeps waving and waving for them!
And the boat goes further and further away…
passes the place where Tamaki san showed us…
the secret “Starry Sky Watching” spot!! XD
And enters the “Sea of Japan” 日本海
And Tamaki san tells us that it’s probably getting pretty deep around here.
Getting closer to the beautiful landscape which Tamaki san wanted to show us no matter what!!
Pointing to the the rock with the unique shape…
… coming out of the water and standing there all alone!
“It must be around 20 meters long!” he says!
And going deeper and deeper…
we reach the place
where he definitely wanted to show to his friend
when he took him here before!
This is it!
Where he climbed and took many photos earlier in the show,
and the horses and the cows were enjoying the food!
This is the same cliff!
Tamaki san’s second choice as the
“kokoro no hikyo”
The captain says that there was once a person,
who climbed all the way up to the top from here!
Tamaki san says “That’s Daredevil!”
And I agree!!
Seems like it took him 3 days to do it!
“Japan is a small country I guess, but seeing landscapes like this… makes you realize that it’s much bigger than what you think!”
As the boat keeps moving forward…
we reach another place he keeps dear in his heart!
One of his favorites…
So with no hesitation after saying “This one’s amazing!”
he just picks up his camera and starts taking photos!
“It almost looks like an artificial bridge!” he says.
“But just thinking about the fact that this is all made by the hands of nature… it’s amazing!” he adds.
Then he says: “Being on the shore,
the chances of feeling the Topographical and Geological changes may decrease!
But when you come out all the way here, you can wonder about why this rock has a shape like this and how many years took it to turn into what it is now…
you can use your imagination!
This is a place where you can really feel the power of the nature pretty close to yourself.”
Being able to follow him around the places he loves so much,
and getting to see more beauties of Japan…
I personally love this episode
probably more than any other one ^^
Hope you were able to enjoy it as well!
Next is a trip to Tottori Prefecture!
Lots of beauties…
Lots of encounters…
And many new things to learn about Tamaki Hiroshi!
So please stay tuned ☆
